Mr Morie Bassie Karteh was appointed Director of Finance at the National Disaster Management Agency of Sierra Leone in July 2021. Before his appointment, he served as Project Administrator responsible for Finance, Administration, and Procurement at Doctors with Africa (CUAMM), an international Non-Governmental Organisation. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance, a Master of Public Administration, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, and a Higher Teachers Certificate in Commercial Studies, all from Njala University and Eastern Polytechnic, respectively. Mr Karteh is the Disaster Risk Financing Focal Person for the NDMA in Sierra Leone.
